Do you remember these two from previous adventures, one to Australia and one to New York City? Well, if their escapades didn't bore you completely, you may want to follow their next adventure. Come to think of it, if their musings did bore you completely, you may want to follow this adventure anyway. It's cheaper than a drugstore sedative.Anyone in marketing knows you need a hook, and that's the purpose of my title. We DO love a fair! Get it?? "a fair," not "affair"! Bob and I love fairs and eventually want to visit every American state fair. This trip will take us to 7 state fairs, only one which we have attended before. We'll also be visiting Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City. Surely some moments will be interesting enough to record.
Now back to the fairs ... I've been researching and each has famous (I use the word with reservation) oddities: a cow carved from butter, deep-fried sauerkraut balls, chocolate-coved bacon, hand-blown marbles, a mural made entirely of soybeans.
